With the open portion of the DreamHack Austin European qualifier done, the organizer has released the bracket for the closed portion that will be played tomorrow.
The best-of-one European open qualifier for DreamHack Austin was brought to an end today, with some upsets happening in the final stages. We saw LDLC narrowly miss out by losing to iGame.com 16-14 in the final match, while fnatic Academy was eliminated by the Belarus squad K29 in the round-of-16.
gob b's team secured a spot in the closed qualifier
Qualifying alongside iGame.com was Fatih "gob b" Dayik's BIG, who showed their dominance by only dropping seven rounds in the last two maps they played. The last two open qualifier spots were taken by Vega Squadron and the Swedish-Norwegian mix TzatzikiKlubben.
The closed-qualifier bracket paired these four teams with four teams that were invited to the closed qualifier, leaving us with following matchups to be played tomorrow:
